  • 4 teaspoon dry yeast (2 pkgs.)
  • 1 c. lukewarm water
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 6 c. whole wheat flour, plus flour for rolling
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/2 teaspoon water
  • 4 tbsp. sesame seeds (toasted 20 min at 200 degrees)
  • 1 c. oil
  • 3 tbsp. honey
  • 2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 c. boiling water
  • 2 Large eggs, beaten

Direcciones

  1. 1. Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water. Add in 1 tsp. honey.
  2. 2. In large bowl, mix oil, 3 Tbsp. honey, salt and boiling water. When lukewarm, add in 2 beaten Large eggs, then dissolved yeast. Gradually stir in flour, mixing well, but don't knead. Refrigeratetill hard. (Use a big bowl, it will more than double in the refrigerator.)
  3. 3. Divide dough into 3 parts and roll each one out on floured board in a large circle, as thin as possible. Brush with beaten egg mixed with 1/2 tsp. water. Sprinkle sesame seeds over the surface. Cut the circle like a pizza into wedges about 2" wide at the outside. Roll each wedge toward the center. Dip top in egg mix, then in sesame seeds. Place on oiled cookie sheet, leaving plenty of room for rising. Let rise in draft free place for 1 1/2 hrs.
  4. 4. Bake at 425 degrees for 25 min till golden. Leftover rolls keep well in refrigerator. Yield: 4 dozen rolls.
