Acerca de mí
Hungry. Cooking. Hungry. Pie. Hungry. Baking. Hungry. Beef. Hungry. Health. Hungry. Dining. Hungry. Whining. Hungry. Eating.
I'm a mish-mash of a foodie - I love eating of course, and enjoy cooking, but I find baking a bit of a faff, even though I find myself baking every few days! My favourite childhood food was my mum's steak with onion gravy, with fat chips from my parent's chippy! Yumsters.
People always ask me how I manage to eat so much and stay petite but it's mainly because I never sit still! I love dancing and train in Aikido and Capoeira every week. I spend way too much money on groceries these days, testing out new recipes. Every now and again, I experience a Hungry Jenny Faux Pas, where my cooking goes horribly wrong!
I'm into healthy eating and try to avoid using butter and sugar in my baking recipes, though I try to still use store-cupboard ingredients, rather than buying specialist stuff (eg buying gluten-free products) because it's more interesting that way and hopefully inspires you guys to try my recipes out because there are rarely any 'alien' ingredients to be found!
I love meeting new foodies to share recipes and food experiences with, so do stop by and say hello!

- 24 de Febrero de 2011Hi Amos
Thanks for your kind comments, though I am far from confident and professional hence the openess to feedback, haha! Just wanted to emphasise that my recipes are not set in stone and can always be tweaked if needed :-)

- 27 de Diciembre de 2010Hi Jenny!1 reply
Thank you for adding me :) I enjoy browsing through your recipes and have placed some of them like the "No-bake Chocolate Peanut Butter and Oatmeal Cookies" and "Speedy Sticky Lemon Chicken" in my "Try Soon" files.
All the best!
Lidy- 29 de Diciembre de 2010Thanks Lidy, do let me know how the recipes turn out if you try to make any, always looking for feedback! Though the Peanut Butter Cookies you mention is not my recipe, that is by Daniel of Haggis and Herring :-) That is just a recipe that I have saved in my own 'Try Soon' file!
Happy new year!

The bacon/broccoli muffins would be a great addition. Sorry, I had to send this twice....had bacon & blueberries on my mind and may have typed that instead of broccoli...sorry.- 26 de Septiembre de 2010Thanks, will check it out! Yeh, I was thinking a bit odd that you'd written bacon and blueberry muffins - I was thinking to myself, that's not something I've made!1 reply
Hungry Jenny x- 26 de Septiembre de 2010And I did recently read a blueberry/bacon muffin recipe and thought, hmmmm breakfast in a muffin..what more do you need? and then saw your bacon/broccoli...now supper and breakfast in a muffin. What fun! N

Don't you worry, I always eat every scrap of what I make! The only exception I make is when the dish goes wrong and it becomes inedible :-s
Thanks for your kind comments
