Influencias de Cocina
I grew up in the country located in Central Asia, Uzbekistan. Uzbek food is an integral part of the culture in this country. Every dish is a unique as it gathers an old wisdom of the Orient and turns each process of preparing it into magical and fascinating ritual. At the same time, my family followed Russian traditions and I learned a lot Russian recipes. After finishing university I moved into Saint Petersburg with my husband, and lived their for 2 years, learning to cook on my own. Last year I moved to US where I met various cooking styles extending my cooking experience.

Can you delete my kid friendly group? I did not see that you have that as a category already. My bad! -Thanks, Tien- 19 de Julio de 2010Hi Tien, you can put this group under "None" special occasion and "None" special category. The name of the group will stand for its content. I think it is very useful group, so no problem if it will be there. Thanks for creating this group!

Thanks for linking me to this site. I love Eastern Europe, it's people and it's food, so I look forward to reading your recipes and trying them out. I recently met another girl from Uzbekistan named Tersia which apparently means Sea Goddess - what a great name!
Thanks again
