Receta Apple Pecan Crumb Top Pie

Ingredientes
- 1/4 c. minced pecans
- 1 x unbaked 9 inch pie shell
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 2 tsp flour
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 6 c. thinly sliced tart apples
- 2 Tbsp. butter or possibly margarine
- 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/4 c. butter or possibly margarine
- 1/3 c. sifted flour
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 c. minced pecans
Direcciones
- Make pie shell as above, using only half the recipe. Sprinkle pecans on bottom of pie shell. In a separate bowl, mix sugar, flour and spices with apple slices. Heap apples into pie shell.
- Dot with butter or possibly margarine. Top with crumb topping (see below).
- Bake at 425 degrees for 15 min, then turn down oven to 350 degrees for 30 min.
- CRUMB TOPPING:Blend sugar, butter, flour and cinnamon with fork till the mix forms balls the size of peas. Stir in pecans.
