Receta Authentic N.Y. Tomatoe Sauce
This is a great sauce that can work for Spegetti or Lasange, or any dish that needs a rich tomatoe sauce.
Ingredientes
- 2- lg. can crushed tomatoes
- 1 can tomatoe paste
- 1 tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. olive oil
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp. onion powder
- 1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper\
- 1 med. diced onion
- 2 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 6-8 mushrooms,sliced
- 1 green/red pepper chopped
- 1 lb. lean chopped beef
- 4 italian sausage
- 1 tsp. basil
- 1 tsp. oregano
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- sea salt/pepper to taste
- 1 bay leaf
- real red wine, fill paste can, 3 times
- 1/4 cup shredded carrot
Direcciones
- Place tomatoes, paste in large pot, using paste can add 3 can of red wine, sugar, add all onion and garlic powders, red pepper, salt and pepper, then saute green, red peppers onion, garlic, till tender, add to sauce, In another pan brown beef, sausage, using olive oil till lightly brown when ready add to sauce, Stir frequently and simmer on low for 4-6 hrs.
