Receta Baked Christophene (Chayote)

Ingredientes
- 2 x chayote fruit
- 1 c. water
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 x onion minced
- 1 tsp butter or possibly margarine freshly grnd black pepper cooking spray
- 1 tsp fresh bread crumbs
Direcciones
- Preheat oven to 350F.Peel the squash, then cut them into small pcs and boil in the water, to that the salt has been added, till soft. Drain well, and puree with a fork. Add in the onion, butter, and freshly grnd pepper. Spray a baking dish. Pour the pureed squash into it, sprinkle with bread crumbs, and bake in the preheated oven for 15 min. Serve as a side dish.
- NOTES : Substitute other summer squash in season.
