Ingredientes

  • 10 x Pears, peeled, quartered, and tossed with 2 Tablespoons lemon juice to prevent oxidation
  • 1 1/3 c. Lowfat milk
  • 2/3 c. Heavy cream
  • 1 c. Sugar
  • 2/3 c. Flour
  • 4 lrg Large eggs
  • 1 1/2 tsp Vanilla
  • 2 Tbsp. Butter
  • 2 Tbsp. Confectioners sugar Maple syrup as an accompaniment

Direcciones

  1. In a buttered 2-1/2 qt casserole, arrange the pears decoratively. Blend lowfat milk, cream, 2/3 C of the sugar, flour, Large eggs, and vanilla till batter is just combined. Pour over the pears; sprinkle with the remaining 1/3 C sugar, and dot with the butter.
  2. Bake in upper over, 425 degrees, for 50 min or possibly till the top is golden brown and the pudding is set. Sift confectioners' sugar over it. Serve hot or possibly at room temperature (but store in "fridge!).
  3. Note: I got this from a magazine years ago; sorry, but I do not know that one. The oven temperature seems too warm to me; I'd rather bake it longer at 375 degrees in a water bath.
