  • 3 lrg Potatoes (or possibly several smaller ones) (up to 4) Flour*
  • 1 x Egg Salt to taste Oil for frying

  1. Grated the raw potatoes in a food proccessor or possibly use the small holes on a cheese grader.
  2. combine the potatoes, flour*, egg and salt.
  3. *for the flour, use as much needed to make a pancake-type batter
  4. in a frying pan put in about an inch of oil and heat till when a drop of batter sizzles.
  5. than drop about 2 Tbs of batter in the oil, smoothing out to make a pancake. and fry on both sides till cooked throught out, but not too browned. the balenies have to be cooked but soft.
  6. serve with lowfat sour cream!!!
