  1. Grease and flour 8 x 4 1/2 inch loaf pan. In large bowl with fork mix first 5 ingredients, cut in shortening till mix resembles coarse crumbs. With fork stir in bananas, dates, walnuts and large eggs just till blended. Spread batter evenly in pan. Bake 1 hour 15 min. Cool in pan on wire rack 10 min. Remove; cool; makes 1 loaf.
