Receta Banana Fritters
These are best eaten as dessert but can do as a mini meal(Snack) at ten with tea for children and yes adults! best doen with sweet bananas!
Ingredientes
- 1 Kg of ripe but firm sweet bananas
- juice of one lemon
- oil for frying
- 4 large egg whites
- 1 cup self raising flour
- 1 cup skimmed milk
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
Direcciones
- Peel the bananas and place them on a platter
- sprinkle the lemon juice to avoid oxidation
- sieve the dry ingredients four times to give enough air into the batter
- pour in the milk
- in a separate glass bowl thoroughly beat the egg whites until almost stiff and fold them into the flour mixture slowly without mixing
- Heat the oil in a deep frying pan
- take the peeled bananas and roll them one by one into the mixture it and placing it immediately into the hot oil
- fry until just ready(golden brown)
- repeat until all the bananas are done.
- for dessert, sprinkle caster sugar and serve with side whipped sweetened cream, for mini meal, serve as is with tea, coffee or drinking chocolate or milk for children
