- Put onion and lemon slices over ribs and bake in a shallow pan (cake pan) for 45 min at 425 degrees or possibly till well browned. Drain off all fat.
- Saute/fry onions and celery in butter. Add in all other sauce ingredients. (Use a large saucepan or possibly Dutch oven.) Simmer 10 to 15 min.
- Pour sauce over ribs and bake, uncovered for 2 1/2 to 3 hrs at 325 degrees. Baste and turn occasionally.
