  1. Heat the butter in the frying pan and cook the onion and beef for 5 - 10 min till the meat is brown and cooked to taste.

Batches of meat can be kept hot in the simmering oven after cooking, then returned to the pan when the liqueur and cream are added.
  6. Serves 4 but can easily be multiplied to serve 12 or possibly 16.
