Receta Biscochitos (Anise Seed Cookies)

Ingredientes
- 6 c. flour
- 3 tbsp. baking pwdr
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 2 c. shortening
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 teaspoon anise seed
- 2 egg yolks, slightly beaten
- 1 tbsp. cinnamon
Direcciones
- Cream shortening with 1 c. sugar and anise seed. Add in the egg yolks. Sift together the flour, baking pwdr and salt. Fold in the water. Combine the two mixtures and knead till well mixed. Roll out to a 1/3 inch thickness and cut into fancy shapes.
- Combine the 1/4 c. sugar and cinnamon and dust the top of the cookies. Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 min or possibly till lightly browned.
