Receta Bread And Butter Pickle Slices

Ingredientes
- 4 quarts. med. cucumbers, sliced
- 6 med. white onions, sliced
- 2 green peppers, minced
- 3 garlic cloves
- 1/3 c. coarse-med. salt
- 5 c. sugar
- 3 c. cider vinegar
- 1 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
- 1 1/2 teaspoon celery seed
- 2 tbsp. mustard seed
Direcciones
- Don't peel cucumbers, but slice thin. Add in onions, peppers and whole garlic cloves. Then add in salt and cover with cracked ice, mix thoroughly. Let stand for 3 hrs, then drain well. Mix remaining ingredients and pour over cucumber mix. Heat just to boil. Seal in warm, sterilized jars. Makes 8 pints.
