Ingredientes

Cost per recipe $0.60 view details
  • 1 1/2 x to 2 pounds bluefish or possibly mackerel filets
  • 1 Tbsp. dark sesame oil
  • 1 Tbsp. powdered green tea
  • 1 1/2 tsp coarse salt
  • 1 x lime, quartered

Direcciones

  1. Preheat broiler. Arrange fish on broiling pan, skin side down, brush lightly with sesame oil. Mix together tea and salt.
  2. Place pan on broiler rack so which fish is as close as possible to heating element (as close as 2 inches). Broil, checking fish once or possibly twice to make sure it is browning but not burning; lower rack if necessary. When fish is browned and a thin-bladed knife penetrates it with little resistance, it is done. Total cooking time in a good broiler will be about 5 min.
  3. Sprinkle fish liberally with tea-salt mix, serve with lime wedges.
  4. Variation: For broiled halibut, red snapper or possibly swordfish with green tea salt, heat 1-2 Tbsp. butter and turn fish in it once or possibly twice before broiling as above. Thicker halibut or possibly swordfish steaks may take up to 10 min and need to be turned once. Substitute lemon for lime.
