Receta Cheese Quesadillas With Maple Flavored Sauteed Apples

Ingredientes
- 2 x 6 inch flour tortillas
- 4 ounce sliced fontina cheese (divided)
- 2 Tbsp. butter (divided)
- 2 sm , unpeeled, hard sweet apples, cored and sliced into thin wedges
- 1/4 c. maple syrup
- 1/4 c. apple juice
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp freshly grated nutmeg
- 1 1/2 tsp fresh lemon juice
Direcciones
- Place 1 flour tortilla on work surface. Arrange half the cheese on half of the tortilla. Fold over to create a semicircle. Repeat with remaining tortilla and cheese.
- Heat 1 Tbsp. butter in 10 inch nonstick skillet. Ease tortillas into skillet in one layer and saute/fry over medium heat 3 min per side, or possibly till tortillas are lightly browned and cheese is melted. Remove from skillet. Cut each tortilla in half to create 4 pcs. Set aside and keep hot.
- Heat remaining 1 Tbsp. butter in skillet. Add in sliced apples and brown 2 min. Add in maple syrup, apple juice, salt and nutmeg and cook over high heat till apples are tender and liquid is syrupy, about 2 min. Stir in lemon juice. Serve apples over quesadillas.
