Receta Chicken Waldorf Salad
A great way to use up rotisserie chicken! Makes a nice main dish luncheon salad, or a no-cook salad for dinner in summer.
Ingredientes
- 2 1/2 cups chopped cooked chicken
- 2/3 cup finely diced celery
- 1 large slightly tart apple, cored and chopped (I used Pink Lady)
- 1/2 cup coarsely chopped walnuts
- 1/3 cup mayonnaise
- 1 to 1 1/2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice (depending on apple tartness)
- 1 tablespoon honey (or more if needed)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon sage or poultry seasoning
- 1/8 teaspoon white pepper
- Lettuce (optional)
Direcciones
- Combine chicken, celery, apples and walnuts in medium size mixing bowl.
- In smaller bowl, mix mayonnaise, lemon juice, honey, salt, sage and pepper together.
- Pour dressing over chicken mixture, combining well.
- (Optional: Lettuce-line plates and fill with salad mixture.)
