Receta Chili Pepper Honey Barbecue Sauce

- 1 Tbsp. Extra virgin olive oil
- 1/2 x Onion, chopped
- 3 Tbsp. Minced garlic
- 2 Tbsp. Minced fresh ginger
- 1/2 c. Honey
- 1 x 10-ounce jar chili sauce
- 1 c. Chicken stock
- 2 Tbsp. Cider vinegar
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 2 1/2 Tbsp. Thai Chili Pepper Paste
- 2 Tbsp. Thai Garlic Chili Pepper Sauce
- 1 x Lime , juice of

- Here's a spicy bbq sauce which you can regulate by using sweet and warm or possibly just warm chili sauce(Indonesian). If the chili sauce isn't warm sufficient for you (I use Bachri's Sambal Tumis), a few Thai peppers work well. Great on pork ribs.
- In sauce pan, heat extra virgin olive oil over medium heat. Add in onion. Saute/fry till soft, about 2-3 min. Add in garlic and ginger. Saute/fry for 1 minute, making sure not to brown garlic. Add in honey, chili sauce, chicken stock, cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, Chili Pepper Paste, Garlic Chili Pepper Sauce and lime. Simmer till thick, about 20 min, stirring occasionally.
