Receta Christmas Breakfast Casserole

Ingredientes
- 1 lb Grnd pork
- 1 sm Onion, minced
- 1 x Clove garlic, chopped
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/4 tsp Crushed warm red pepper
- 4 x Large eggs
- 2 c. Lowfat milk
- 1/4 tsp Black pepper
- 4 c. Italian or possibly French bread, cut into 1" cubes
- 1 1/2 c. Shredded Cheddar cheese
Direcciones
- 1. In a large skillet, cook grnd pork, onion, and garlic over medium-high heat, stirring often to break up meat, till pork loses its pink color, about 5 min. Stir in 3/4 tsp. salt, Italian seasoning, and warm red pepper.
- 2. In a medium bowl, whisk together Large eggs, lowfat milk, remaining 1/4 tsp. salt, and black pepper.
- 3. In a lightly buttered 9 x 13 inch baking dish, spread 2 c. bread cubes.
- Cover with pork mix. Spread remaining 2 c. bread cubes over pork mix, then sprinkle on Cheddar cheese. Pour egg mix over all, cover with plastic wrap, and chill at least 2 hrs or possibly overnight.
- 4. Bake in a 350 degree oven till egg mix is set and top is browned, 50 to 60 min. Let stand 5 min before cutting into squares to serve.
