Receta Christmas Morning Sandwiches
Christmas Morning Sandwiches are a tradition in our house. Made the night before, baked while you open presents. Merry Christmas!
Ingredientes
- Per Sandwich: 2 slices of thick bread
- 2 slices of deli ham
- 2 slices of deli smoked turkey
- 2 slices of provolone cheese
- 1-2 beaten eggs per sandwich
- Milk for thinning (optional)
Direcciones
- To make each sandwich take 2 pieces of bread
- Layer as follows: 1 slice of cheese, 4 slices of meat (usually 2 of each type), 1 slice of cheese
- Place bread on top
- Beat eggs (and milk if adding) and place in a pie plate
- Dip each side of the sandwich into the egg (or egg and milk) mixture allowing bread to soak up a nice supply of egg
- Cut sandwich diagonally and arrange in a sprayed casserole dish, cut side down
- Cover with foil and place in fridge until ready to bake
- Preheat oven to 375º F
- Place sandwiches in oven uncovered and bake for about 30 minutes until crisp and golden
- Serve with Ultimate Cranberry Sauce
