Receta coconut cream cheese filling (icing)
This is a great icing for a 13x9 inch cake , or a great filling for a 8-9 inch layer cake. double recipe if you want to fill and icing the layer cake.
Ingredientes
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 8 oz. cream cheese ( room temp)
- 1 tsp. coconut extract
- 3 cups powdered sugar
- 2 TBS milk
- pinch salt

- With electric mixer beat together shortening and cream cheese, on med. speed until blended and creamy.
- next add extract and salt.mix again slightly
- add in powdered sugar, 1 cup at a time mixing in well after each one
- last add in milk and mix until creamy. add in a bit more milk if filling is too stiff (its a personal preference). You may also fold in some flaked sweetened coconut pieces or some chopped nuts of your choosing. additions are totally optional.
