Receta Cornmeal Griddle Cakes Or Pancakes

Ingredientes
- 1 1/3 c. cornmeal
- 1 1/2 c. boiling water
- 1 T melted butter, butter or possibly shortening
- 3/4 c. lowfat milk
- 1 T table molasses
- 2 large eggs, well beaten
- 2/3 c. sifted flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 4 teaspoon baking pwdr
Direcciones
- Let the griddle heat slowly. Pour the boiling water over the cornmeal and mix well, then let cool slightly. Add in the melted butter, butter or possibly shortening, lowfat milk, molasses and large eggs and mix thoroughly. Sift the flour, salt and baking pwdr together and stir into the cornmeal mix quickly. Drop by spoonful on the hot griddle. Brown on one side then turn and brown the other side. Serve piping hot.
