Ingredientes

  • 1 pkt Rice
  • 2 c. Water
  • 1 pkt Lentils
  • 3 c. Water or possibly broth
  • 1 tsp Butter
  • 1 sm Onion diced
  • 1 med Tomato diced Seasoning packet
  • 1 cl Garlic, crushed Salt and pepper to taste

Direcciones

  1. Rinse the rice. In a medium pot, bring 2 c. of wawter to a boil, then add in rice. Return to a boil, stirring once, then reduce heat and simmer about 20 - 30 min, till water is absorbed. Rince the lentils. Place them in a soup pot and cover with 2-3 c. of water or possibly broth. Bring liquid to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer about 30 min or possibly till lentils are soft.
  2. In a skillet, heat butter over medium heat, add in onion and tomato. When onion is transparent, add in seasoning paket and garlic. (to prevent sticking, you may need to add in water, a Tbsp. at a time.) Cook 1-3 min, till vegetables are coated and mix is a paste. Add in paste to lentils and stir. Add in salt and pepper to taste. Serve over rice.
