Ingredientes
- 1/4 lb butter
- 1/2 lb wholemeal self-raising flour
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 pch salt
- 1 Tbsp. dates
- 1 Tbsp. raisins
- 1 Tbsp. ginger
- 1 Tbsp. nuts
- 1 Tbsp. minced lemon peel
- 1 Tbsp. golden brown syrup
- 1 x lemon, juice of
Direcciones
- Mix together the dates, raisins, ginger, nuts, lemon peel, golden brown syrup and lemon juice. Set aside.
- Sift together the flour, sugar and salt. Rub in the butter, add in sufficient water to create a stiff dough.
- Roll dough out 1/4 inch thick, cut into 2. Place the fruit filling on one half of dough and cover with other half. Place on a lightly greased baking tray and bake at 350 oven 15 to 20 min.
- Allow to cold, then cut into squares.
