Ingredientes
- 3 egg yolks
- 1 2/3 c. buttermilk
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1 tbsp. sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 tbsp. soft butter or oil
- 3 egg whites, stiffly beaten
Direcciones
- Beat egg yolks well with rotary beater.
- Beat in buttermilk and soda.
- Sift together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Stir into buttermilk mixture
- Beat in butter or oil. Gently mix in beaten egg whites.
- Cook in a lightly buttered skillet until golden brown
- NOTE: To make this recipe a little healthier, we reduce the egg yolks to 2, use lowfat buttermilk leave out the salt, and use 2 Tbsp. canola oil (Puritan) instead of butter.
