Receta Dottie's Smothered Fried Ribs

Ingredientes
- 1 lg. slab of spare ribs or possibly 3 Packages of spare rib tips
- 1 lg. onion, minced
- 1 med. green pepper, minced
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 2 tbsp. adobo seasoning
- 2 tbsp. garlic pwdr
- 1 1/2 teaspoon Gravy Master
- 2 tbsp. paprika
- 1 teaspoon parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano
- 1 (5 quart.) pot
- 1 (8 quart.) pot
- Veg. or possibly corn oil
- 1 plastic bag
- 2 Packages sazon goya achiote
Direcciones
- Ribs: Clean, remove excess fat and cut up ribs. Pat ribs dry with paper towel. In 5 qt pot fill with oil almost 1/2 way. Heat till warm. In plastic bag, add in flour, adobo seasoning, paprika, garlic pwdr. Shake flour and seasoning to blend. Add in ribs and batter. Shake off excess flour and insert in warm oil to deep fry.
- After all ribs are fried till brown, drain on paper towel. In 8 qt pot put all ribs. Add in onion, green pepper, gravy master, parsley, oregano and achiote. Fill pot with water just below level of ribs and boil medium-high flame. Stir now and then to make sure ribs don't stick. Let boil till gravy becomes thick, about 1 hour or possibly till well done. Serve with rice and veggies.
