Receta Easter Bread From Cyprus

Ingredientes
- 1 1/2 lb all-purpose flour
- 1 pkt dry-active yeast
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 Tbsp. granulated sugar
- 2 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil filling
- 8 ounce cheddar cheese
- 4 ounce mozzarella
- 1 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking pwdr
- 1 Tbsp. crushed dry mint
- 4 x Large eggs, lightly beaten glaze
- 1 x egg, beaten sesame seeds
Direcciones
- Sift the flour, yeast, salt and sugar into a large bowl. Add in the oil and sufficient water to make a hard dough. Knead at least 5 min. Cover with plastic wrap and let rise for 1 hour. Meanwhile make the filling.
- Coarsely grate the cheeses. Add in flour and baking pwdr. Gradually stir in the mint and beaten Large eggs till you have a stiff paste.
- Preheat the ovento 450 F. Divide the dough into egg size pcs. Roll into 4 " discs.
- Put a generous Tbsp. of filling in the center of each disc and spread slightly. Pull the dough up at 4 points to make a square. Press the corners together to seal and let stand 15-20 min. Brush with the beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds over. Bake 12-15 min till the cheese filling has puffed up and the pastry is golden brown. Serve hot or possibly cool.
