  • 2 c. rice water
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 c. mixed dry and fresh fruit - (to 1 c.) see * Note

Direcciones

  1. * Note: Use fruits such as dry cranberries, raisins, minced prunes, apricots, pineapple and orange or possibly tangerine segments.
  2. Wash rice in cool water. Drain. Place in heavy 2-qt saucepan, add in 4 c. water and bring to boil. Quickly stir in fruit. Cover immediately and reduce heat to lowest setting. Cook till rice is tender and water is absorbed, 15 to 20 min.
  3. Remove from heat and let stand, covered, 5 - 10 min. Fluff with fork before serving.
  4. This recipe yields 6 servings.
