Receta Fra Diavolo Crab Sauce
Flavorful and easy to make sauce. We live in the beautiful Southwest and must buy the lump crab at Sam's. The recipe makes plenty for a dinner party or freezing for later use. Although not described, don't forget to make your version of garlic bread so everyone can mop their plates.
Ingredientes
- 16 oz of lump crab meat - rinsed, drained and pulled by fork
- two 28 oz can of whole tomatoes - crushed by hand or diced using poultry scissors
- medium onion - chopped
- 10 cloves of garlic - crushed with the side of a chef's knife and rough chopped
- olive oil - couple swirls to coat the sauce pan
- 1.5 tsp of red pepper flakes
- two pinches of kosher salt
Direcciones
- add a couple of swirls of olive oil to the sauce pan
- add the red pepper flakes
- add the chopped onion
- add the rough chopped garlic
- turn the element on to saute the ingredients till the onion begins to soften and the garlic releases its wonderful smell, stirring frequently
- add the crab and the crushed tomatoes and and all of the juice
- stir to mix the ingredients
- add the two pinches of kosher salt
- turn the heat up to boil
- once boiling, cover and reduce to a simmer for an hour
- with about a half hour remaining on the simmer, prepare pasta of your choice. (we use linguini or spaghetti.)
- drain the pasta and incorporate into the sauce
- Mangia.
