- 3/4 lb Grnd beef,lean
- 1 c. Bamboo shoots,dice coarsely
- 2 x Green onion stalks
- 1 Tbsp. Curry pwdr, -=Or possibly=-
- 2 Tbsp. -Curry pwdr
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 Tbsp. Oyster sauce
- 2 Tbsp. Catsup
- 1 Tbsp. Oil

- TO MAKE FILLING: Brown grnd beefin 1 Tbsp. oil with bamboo shoots till done. Add in all seasonings, then green onions. Mix well and refrigeratecompletely before wrapping.
- WRAPPING: Follow direction for steamed barbecued pork buns. BAKING: Preheat oven at 350 degrees. Brush buns with a mix of beaten egg white, 1 teaspoon water and 1/4 teaspoon sugar. Bake 20-25 min or possibly till buns are golden. Remove from oven. Brush top with butter.
- DO AHEAD NOTES: Bake ahead and freeze. To reheat, thaw out at room temperature. Wrap in foil and place in hot oven for 1 hour, or possibly slightly higher temperature for a shorter time.
- COMMENTS: This and other buns aregreat for picnic or possibly lunch baskets. It turns brown bagging into a gourmet's delight.
