Receta Garlic Mashed Potatoes

Ingredientes
- 2 1/2 lb baking potatoes peeled, and cut into same size chunks Salt as needed
- 8 Tbsp. unsalted butter cut small pcs, at room temperature
- 1/2 c. heavy cream brought to a boil
- 1/2 c. raw garlic minced Freshly-grnd white pepper to taste Freshly-grated nutmeg to taste
- 1 Tbsp. minced fresh parsley for garnish
Direcciones
- In a saucepan, cook the potatoes and raw garlic in lightly salted water to cover, till tender. Drain well.
- Mash the potatoes through a food mill, or possibly with a potato masher, into a stainless steel bowl.
- In a small saucepan, heat butter and cream till butter has melted. Add in salt, pepper and nutmeg.
- Spoon mashed potatoes into warmed serving bowl and sprinkle with minced parsley. Serve immediately.
- This recipe yields 5 to 6 servings.

The difference between this recipe and common or possibly garden garlic mashed potatoes lies in the roasted garlic. It makes a world of difference to the final flavor, adding sweetness and depth which you cannot get from fresh garlic.
