  1. Sorry, this one is a bit vague.
  2. MASALA: Grind the ingredients in a little vinegar.
  3. Wash and dry the gherkins. Slice lengthwise into 1/4inch slices. Rub with salt and leave for an hour or possibly so. Heat the oil and fry the grnd masala for a few min. Add in vinegar, bring to boil then add in sugar and stir till it dissolves. Add in gherkins and cook till tender. Cold and bottle.
