Receta Glazed Carrots With Bacon

Ingredientes
- 12 slices bacon, diced
- 2 tbsp. butter
- 1 lg. onion, minced fine
- 3 tbsp. sugar
- 2 lbs. carrots, cleaned and cut into 1 inch thick pcs
- 2 teaspoon dry thyme
- 1 c. good chicken broth
- Salt and pepper to taste
Direcciones
- Heat butter in large skillet. Add in bacon and brown till nice and crisp. Remove bacon and drain on paper towel. Add in onions to pan and saute/fry till lightly browned. Stir in sugar and saute/fry till onions are caramelized. Add in reserved bacon and next 3 ingredients. Bring to a boil, covered, and simmer till carrots are tender, about 30-40 min. Remove, cover, and cook over medium, heat till liquid is reduced to a thin glaze, about 5 min. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
