Receta Good Luck Black Eyed Peas
Ingredientes
- 4 (16 ounce.) cans black eyed peas
- 2 jalapeno peppers (canned), seeded and very finely minced
- 2 teaspoon salt or possibly to taste
- 1 lg. onion, very finely minced
- 1 teaspoon grnd black pepper
Direcciones
- Combine black eyed peas, onion and jalapeno peppers. salt and black pepper in 2 qt saucepan and simmer very slowly over very low heat till most of liquid evaporates, about 1 to 1 1/2 hrs. Makes 8 to 10 servings.
- Jalapenos may be omitted. Add in bacon and saute/fry onion in bacon fat if you like. Note: Use jalapeno black eyed peas if you like and omit jalapenos.
