Receta Grain Stuffed Peppers

Ingredientes
- 1 onion
- 1 clove garlic
- 2 fresh or possibly canned tomatoes
- 1 tbsp. oil
- 1/2 teaspoon thyme
- 2/3 c. fine cracked wheat or possibly bulgur
- 1 pound grnd lamb, beef, or possibly pork
- 3 tbsp. minced parsley
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 8 sm. bell peppers (green, red, yellow, or possibly orange)
- 2/3 c. white wine
Direcciones
- Heat the oven to 350 degrees. Mince the onion and garlic. Peel, seed, and chop tomatoes. Heat the oil in a saucepan. Add in onion, garlic, tomatoes, thyme, and cracked wheat; cook over low heat for 5 min. Off the heat, stir the grnd meat into the wheat mix along with the parsley, salt, and pepper. Cut the tops off the peppers and reserve. Remove the seeds and ribs. Stuff the meat mix into the peppers and cover with the tops. Put peppers in a baking dish and add in the wine. Cook in the preheated oven 1 hour.
