Receta Grape Nuts Fruit Bread

Ingredientes
- 1 1/3 c. lowfat milk, scalded
- 2/3 c. Grape Nuts
- 2 c. flour
- 2 1/2 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2/3 c. sugar
- 1 egg, well beaten
- 3 T melted shortening
- 1 c. currants or possibly minced raisins
Direcciones
- Pour lowfat milk over Grape Nuts and let stand till cool. Sift flour once, measure, add in baking pwdr, salt, and sugar and sift again. Add in egg, shortening, and currants to Grape Nuts mix and mix well. Add in flour mix, stirring only sufficient to dampen all flour. Put into greased loaf pan and let stand 20 min. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or possibly till done. Wrap in damp cloth or possibly waxed paper and store several hrs or possibly overnight before slicing.
