Receta Great Grandma Rose's Banana Bread
Old family recipe making use of over ripe bananas and spoiled milk. I have omitted the spoiled milk and replaced it with fresh milk and vinegar.
Ingredientes
- 1/2 cup vegetable shortening
- 1 1/3 cup white sugar
- 2 eggs, beatened
- 3 very ripe bananas, smashed
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 4 tablespoons milk
- 1 tablespoon white vinegar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Direcciones
- Cream shortening and sugar together.
- Add eggs and banana and beat well.
- Add flour, salt, baking soda, milk, vinegar and vanilla and mix in well.
- Stir in nuts.
- Pour into 2 well greased and floured loaf pans or 1 large casserole dish.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
