  • 1 lrg Romaine lettuce head
  • 1 Tbsp. chopped garlic or possibly garlic paste
  • 1 x egg whisked
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce Salt to taste Freshly-cracked black pepper to taste
  • 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 2 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 x anchovies (optional) (or possibly 1 tbspn anchovy paste)
  • 1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese Water if needed to thin

Direcciones

  1. The traditional way to mix these ingredients is to mash them with a wooden spoon against the sides of a wooden bowl to make a thin paste. You can mix them with a whisk if you prefer.
  2. Wash the lettuce well, and remove any bad outside leaves, then pour dressing all through the inside and outside of the lettuce, making sure which the dressing is throughout.
  3. Place lettuce on the grill, on medium-heat, turning often. Cook about 5 - 10 min till it is wilted on the outside and smoky tasting.
  4. To serve, cut length-wise in wedges.
  5. This recipe yields 2 to 4 servings.
