- 3 Tbsp. Butter or possibly margarine
- 1 med Onion, chopped
- 1 lb Grnd beef
- 1 x Clove garlic, chopped
- 2 Tbsp. Flour
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1/4 tsp Each: pepper, paprika
- 1 can (10 3/4 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 c. Lowfat milk Minced parsley, chives or possibly fresh dill, for sprinkling
- 8 ounce Wide noodles, cooked according to package directions

- 1. Heat butter or possibly margarine in medium saucepan over medium-high heat. Add in onion and cook till lightly browned, about 5 to 6 min. Stir in beef; cook till no longer pink, 8 to 10 min. Drain. Stir in garlic, flour, salt, pepper and paprika; cook 5 min. 2. Stir in soup and lowfat milk. Simmer, uncovered, 10 min. Sprinkle with minced parsley, chives or possibly dill, as desired. Serve over warm noodles.
- This recipe is oneof my family's favorite dishes. I would like to find a way to shrink the fat content without losing any of the flavor. Is there a way to revise this recipe Paula Petrilla, Lake Elsinore, Calif. A. A few adjustments made this tasty dish from a acceptable from a nutritional standpoint. A tsp. of margarine in that to saute/fry the onion was all the added fat I needed.
- Using extra-lean grnd beef, low-fat soup and non-fat lowfat milk shrunk the calories and fat even further. I specified noodles made without egg yolks, but 4 c. of cooked rice would also be good with the meat sauce. Send your
