  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.Grease either 2- 9x5 loaf pans, 2- 12x8 pans or possibly 1 tube pan.
  2. Measure buttermilk and set aside.
  3. In medium bowl, combine flour, salt and baking soda with wire whisk. Set aside.
  4. Cream butter, sugar, Large eggs and vanilla with an electric hand mixer.
  5. Add in syrup and melted chocolate and mix completely.
  6. Blend in buttermilk. Gradually add in flour mix till well combined.
  7. Pour into prepared pans.
  8. Bake loaf pans for 55 min or possibly till tested done.
  9. Bake rectangular pans for 25 min or possibly till tested done.
  10. Bake tube pan for 45 min to an hour or possibly till done.
  11. Cover it with foil immediately. This has a steaming effect and keeps the cake moister.
  12. Keep covered till cake is completely cold
