Receta Holtons Cafeteria's Famous Chicken Andbiscuit

Ingredientes
- 1 chicken
- 1/2 c. onion, minced
- 1 stick butter
- 2/3 c. flour
- 1 chicken bouillon cube (or possibly 1 teaspoon chicken base)
- 2 c. bisquick baking mix
- 1/2 c. lowfat milk
- 1 egg
Direcciones
- Boil one chicken till done with onion and bouillon (about 3 hrs). Cool and debone and cut up meat. Save broth. I chill broth overnight and then remove all fat. Make a roux of 1 stick of butter (1/4 pound) and 2/3 cup flour. Boil 1 minute. Boil broth with meat. Add in roux. While still boiling add in drop biscuits.Biscuits: 2 cups bisquick mix, 1/2 cup lowfat milk, 1 egg (stir till just mixed). Drop by spoonsful on boiling mix. Put cover on pan and bake in preheated 425 degree oven for 12 min. Remove lid and bake another 4 min. Serves 6.
