Receta Indian Hot Corn Bread

Ingredientes
- 2 c. self-rising cornmeal
- 1 c. lowfat milk
- 1 egg
- 1 (20 ounce) canned cream style corn
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 c. bacon drippings
- 1 c. minced onion
- 1 clove chopped garlic
- 3 to 4 minced jalapeno peppers
- 1/2 pound grated Cheddar cheese
Direcciones
- Put together all ingredients, except cheese and mix well. Pour half the batter into well-greased 9x13 inch baking pan. Sprinkle half of the grated cheese over the top. Add in balance of batter and sprinkle remaining cheese over the top.Bake in a 350 degree oven for 45 to 50 min till done. Bread will be real moist. When cool, cut into 2-inch squares.
