- Spice Paste:
- 5 shallots or 2 big shallots, peeled and sliced
- 5 cloves of garlics, peeled and sliced
- 1 red chili (lombok besar)
- 1 birds-eye chili (cili padi/ cabe rawit), optional
- 1 tbsp of shrimp paste (belacan/terasi udang)
- 1 tsp of salt
- 1 tsp of sugar
- A pinch of pepper powder
