Receta Jimmy Carter's Cheese Ring (En)

Ingredientes
- 1 lb Sharp Cheddar cheese, finely grated
- 1 c. Mayonnaise
- 1 c. Minced pecans
- 1/2 c. Very finely minced onions
- 6 x Twists freshly grnd black pepper
- 1 dsh Cayenne pepper
- 12 ounce Strawberry preserves (1jar) Whole-grain crackers or possibly melba toast
Direcciones
- In a mixing bowl, combine cheese with mayonnaise, minced nuts, and onions.
- Fold in black pepper and cayenne, and blend thoroughly.
- Press into a 3-c. ring mold. Chill for at least 2 hrs.
- To serve, dip mold into a pan of warm water for 15 to 20 seconds before turning out onto a serving platter. Fill center with strawberry preserves, and serve at once with whole-grain crackers or possibly melba toast.
- Yield: 6 to 8 servings
