Ingredientes
- Fried Cabbage and Noodles
- 1 lrg head of cabbage, 2 pounds finely minced
- 12 ounce wide egg noodles
- 2 x strips bacon, cut crosswise in to 4 strips each*
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp white pepper
- 1/8 tsp Sweet Hungarian Paprika
Direcciones
- Place the minced cabbage in a bowl and sprinkle with salt and mix, set aside 30 min. Squeeze all water out of cabbage and put on paper towels to dry.
- In a large skillet render (cook the fat out) the bacon. Over medium heat add in the cabbage and sprinkle with the pepper and paprika, Saute/fry stirring till cabbage is soft and lightly browned. Meanwhile cook the egg noodles according to package directions.
- Drain and leave in colander. Place the cooked cabbage in a bowl, add in the noodles and mix. Serve immediately.
- Serves 4 to 6.*To get a more authentictaste, blanch the bacon first to get rid of the smoky flavor.
