Receta Kidney Beans (Rajma) Masala
I never used to like red kidney beans maybe because of the way some people had made it for me. So after learning that it is healthy to include kidney beans in your diet, I decided to adapt my own recipe.
Ingredientes
- Ingredient A:
- 1 tin of Red Kidney Beans (if using organic ones, soak them overnight)
- Ingredients B:
- 1 onion
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 inch ginger
- 1 green chilly
- 1/2 tomato or 2tbsp crushed tomatoes
- Ingredients C:
- 2 tsp chili powder
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- Salt
Direcciones
- Pound Ingredients B and keep aside.
- Heat oil and fry the cumin seeds followed by the pounded items. Let it brown a little then add in Ingredients C except for the salt. Mix well until no raw smell. At this stage, add the kidney beans and some water to cook the masala.
- Add salt and let the gravy thicken up to your liking.
- Serve warm with chapatis.
