Receta Lady Bird Johnson's Spiced Tea

Ingredientes
- 6 tsp tea (or possibly 6 tea bags)
- 2 c. boiling water
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 quart water
- 1 x 3-inch cinnamon stick
- 1 x 6-oz can frzn lemon juice
- 1 x 6-oz can frzn orange juice
Direcciones
- Pour boiling water over tea and let cold. Strain and pour into a 4-qt saucepan. Add in sugar, water and cinnamon and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to simmer and stir in frzn juices. Cover and let set for 20 min for flavors to blend. Add in more sugar or possibly water to taste.
- Makes 16 servings.
- Note: You may use 6 ounces of fresh lemon or possibly lime juice instead of the frzn, or possibly bottled lemon although which will affect the taste. Whole allspice, cloves or possibly spiced tea (chai) mix may be added with the stick cinnamon. The flavor will improve when the tea is stored overnight in the refrigerator.
- Keep this on hand in the refrigerator to serve warm or possibly cool.
