  • 6 ounce wagon wheel pasta
  • 4 x garlic cloves chopped
  • 1 med onion finely minced
  • 2 tsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 can diced tomatoes - (14 1/2 ounce) undrained
  • 1 Tbsp. tomato paste
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 2 tsp dry oregano
  • 1 tsp dry basil
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp freshly-grnd black pepper
  • 1/4 c. freshly-grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 c. shredded mozzarella cheese divided

Direcciones

  1. Cook pasta per package direction omitting salt and oil. Drain pasta and set aside.
  2. Cook garlic and onion in extra virgin olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat till tender. Add in tomatoes and next 6 ingredients. Cook 5 min.
  3. Add in Parmesan cheese and 1/4 c. mozzarella cheese, stirring till cheese melts. Pour over cooked pasta. Sprinkle with remaining mozzarella cheese.
  4. This recipe yields 3 servings.
