Receta Maple Oatmeal Cookies

Ingredientes
- 1 c. Maple syrup
- 1/2 c. Shortening
- 1 x Egg
- 1 1/2 c. All-purpose flour
- 2 tsp Baking pwdr
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/4 c. Lowfat milk
- 1 1/2 c. Rolled oats
- 1/2 c. Raisins
- 1/2 c. Minced nuts walnuts or possibly pecans

- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees; lightly grease baking sheets. In a mixing bowl, beat the maple syrup, shortening and egg with an electric mixer on medium speed till the mix is well combined. In another mixing bowl, stir together the flour, baking pwdr and salt. Add in the dry ingredients alternately to the syrup mix with the lowfat milk, beating with the mixer on low speed after each addition till just combined. Stir in the oats, raisins and nuts with a spoon. Drop the dough by tablespoonfuls onto the prepared baking sheets.
- Bake for 10 to 12 min, or possibly till the edges of the cookies are lightly browned. Remove and cold the cookies on wire racks. Penny Halsey
