Ingredientes
- 1 lb pork sausage -- mild
- 1 lb pork sausage -- spicy
- 1 med onion -- minced
- 6 c. crispy rice cereal
- 1 1/2 c. cooked long-grain white rice
- 2 c. shredded cheddar cheese
- 6 med Large eggs
- 21 1/2 ounce condensed cream of celery soup - reduced-sodium (2 cans)
- 1/2 c. lowfat milk
- 1 Tbsp. butter -- softened
Direcciones
- Grease a 3-qt rectangular baking dish; set aside. In a very large skillet, cook sausage and onion till sausage is no longer pink and onion is tender.
- Drain off fat. Set aside.
- Meanwhile, in a large bowl, combine 5 c. of the cereal and the cooked rice.
- Spread rice mix proportionately in bottom of prepared baking dish. Spoon sausage mix over rice layer. Sprinkle with cheddar cheese.
- In a medium bowl, beat Large eggs, soup, and lowfat milk with a wire whisk till combined.
- Carefully pour over layers in baking dish. Press down lightly with back of a spoon. Toss remaining 1 c. cereal with butter. Sprinkle over top. Bake in a 325 degree F. oven 50 to 55 min or possibly till golden and bubbly. Let stand 10 min before serving.
- Yield: 12 servings.
